Hugo Hedling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Sjödin having to interfere. Jakob Karlsson struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Karl-Ove Sjödin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dala-Järna IF. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Vacker in the 14th minute of play forced Dala-Järna IF's goalkeeper Isac Ahlqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isac Ahlqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Vacker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jakob Karlsson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 17 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Karl-Ove Sjödin was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 18 played minutes Dannike got a freekick which was hit by Birger Höijer. 21 minutes into the match, Dannike's Jan Vacker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isac Ahlqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Dala-Järna IF's Karl-Ove Sjödin threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hugo Hedling, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Albert Högman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isac Ahlqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Jan Vacker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Ahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Jan Vacker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isac Ahlqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 33 minutes, Jan Vacker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dannike's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Vacker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Engström's late challenge caught a Dannike's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Engström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Dala-Järna IF's Jakob Karlsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Gustaf Fransson charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustaf Fransson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 64th match minute, Dala-Järna IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Ahlfors to maneuver through the defense. Vincent Lindgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Isac Ahlqvist made a huge save. Jan Vacker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Isac Ahlqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Dannike fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Ove Sjödin should have stopped the shot. Hugo Hedling might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Ove Sjödin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Hedling ran back to his position shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dala-Järna IF had played much better football throughout.
