Jan Vacker who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Sonny Björkqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Dannike's Albert Högman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sonny Björkqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jan Vacker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Björkqvist having to interfere. Jan Vacker struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Sonny Björkqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dannike. Floby RK's Sonny Björkqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Högman in the 40th minute of play. Joel Kullander's late challenge caught a Floby RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Kullander helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Joel Kullander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christoffer Browald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Karl-Ove Sjödin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albert Högman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Sven-Erik Thidén mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dannike and the Floby RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Dannike's Karl-Ove Sjödin got control of the ball when Håkan Andberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Floby RK's Håkan Andberg got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Christoffer Browald reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Karl-Ove Sjödin. The goal made the score 3-1. Birger Höijer hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Floby RK's Håkan Andberg got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Floby RK booed when Dannike was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birger Höijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dannike's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Berg was slow to take the kick. During this time Floby RK's players had a chance to rest. Dannike's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
