Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5001, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vidar Melberg started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Adam Strömberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Månsarp IFK's Gustaf Löfgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Stig-Åke Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bo Granberg charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bo Granberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Genevad's Bo Granberg got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Stig-Åke Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Stig-Åke Berggren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dick Ekman. Stig-Åke Berggren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Stig-Åke Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Vidar Melberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genevad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Månsarp IFK the free kick. The supporters of Månsarp IFK booed when Genevad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidar Melberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 minutes, Emanuel Hultin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Månsarp IFK and the Genevad players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emanuel Hultin hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Stig-Åke Berggren made the kick off in the second half. Stig-Åke Berggren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Joakim Duset managed to get in a good position for a shot. Månsarp IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Joakim Duset was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dick Ekman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 played minutes Månsarp IFK got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Kullander. After a rather tough play, Genevad's Pelle Bjurström got a free kick in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Kullander in the 74th minute of play forced Genevad's goalkeeper Dick Ekman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adam Strömberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vidar Melberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Löfgren having to interfere. Dick Ekman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Duset, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Gustaf Löfgren didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Sven-Åke Boklund struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Dick Ekman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Månsarp IFK.
