Spectators: 7373 (Terracing: 5531, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) BK Björkris's Sivert Vennerström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl Melander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malte Västlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Åke Mogren came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Gusselby FF's Jon Kjellqvist. But to his dismay, Jon Kjellqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Gusselby FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Roland Danielsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Åke Mogren. BK Björkris's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roland Danielsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Karl Melander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sivert Vennerström's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Jon Kjellqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Mogren having to interfere. BK Björkris's Åke Mogren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Walmarsson in the 27th minute of play. Karl Melander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Lindkvist in the 28th minute of play. After 33 minutes, Calle Östman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Björkris and the Gusselby FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Calle Östman hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Roland Danielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Mogren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gusselby FF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Malte Västlund 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Calle Östman took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Karl Melander to make any attempt to save it. BK Björkris's Malte Västlund got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jon Kjellqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Krister Brander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Gusselby FF's goal looked a bit too open when Sivert Vennerström came free, but Karl Melander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl Melander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malte Västlund in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Gusselby FF getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Axel Stenström hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Sivert Vennerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Melander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Melander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sivert Vennerström went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gusselby FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oskar Hafström was slow to take the kick. During this time BK Björkris's players had a chance to rest. BK Björkris's Oskar Hafström was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Karl Melander in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Krister Brander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Melander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Lindkvist in the 78th minute of play. Åke Mogren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Nyman in the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Walmarsson in the 87th minute of play forced BK Björkris's goalkeeper Åke Mogren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gusselby FF's Karl Melander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sivert Vennerström in the 89th minute of play. When Jon Kjellqvist came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Gusselby FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Kjellqvist couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute Jon Kjellqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Mogren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BK Björkris's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
