Per-Olof Åkerman hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jämjö FF's goalkeeper Martin Gustafsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Boris Fredriksson fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored WE ARE THE BEST's protests and gave Boris Fredriksson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jämjö FF booed when WE ARE THE BEST was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Fredriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Tor Thidén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WE ARE THE BEST's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor Thidén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Per-Olof Åkerman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boris Fredriksson hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Allan Lidman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Björkkvist in the 41st minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tor Thidén made a kick off. After 55 played minutes, Jämjö FF's Isac Almstedt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Allan Lidman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jämjö FF reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Per Göransson managed to get in a good position for a shot. WE ARE THE BEST's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Göransson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Gustafsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70thth minute of the game Mats Vennerkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but WE ARE THE BEST's Allan Lidman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 74 played minutes Jämjö FF got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Björkkvist. Mats Vennerkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Allan Lidman having to make a save.
