After a defensive mix-up in Jespers IF's zone, Paul Ekerot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Torsberg came out of the goal and Paul Ekerot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonas Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Torsberg having to interfere. When Jonas Bergqvist came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Aston Villa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Bergqvist couldn't finish the play. Paul Ekerot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anders Torsberg having to make a save. 22 minutes into the game, Jonas Bergqvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anders Torsberg. Jonas Bergqvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some careless play in the Aston Villa FC defense, Nils Lindberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esbjörn Hjortsberg. The Aston Villa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esbjörn Hjortsberg should have stopped the shot. Jonas Bergqvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Anders Torsberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lukas Willig hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Börge Lundgren charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Börge Lundgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jespers IF getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Börge Lundgren hit a great ball. Anders Torsberg was a little too slow when Paul Ekerot got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 54 minutes, Paul Ekerot made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Jespers IF's Anders Torsberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Peter Blom kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jespers IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Aston Villa FC. Matthias Trulsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Anders Torsberg. 4-2. 75 minutes into the match, Jespers IF's Göran Lundström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esbjörn Hjortsberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Peter Blom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 91 played minutes Aston Villa FC got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Trulsson.
