Axel Näver struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Anders Torsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hökerum. Anders Torsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Näver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hökerum's Niklas Asserlind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Lindberg in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Eric Bogren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jespers IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hökerum the free kick. After 13 played minutes Jespers IF got a freekick which was hit by Eric Bogren. Sune Erserman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anders Torsberg having to make a save. In the 18th match minute, Hökerum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Näver to maneuver through the defense. Sune Erserman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Torsberg having to interfere. If Sune Erserman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. During the 27th minute of the match Eric Bogren completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eric Bogren a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 28 played minutes Jespers IF got a freekick which was hit by Eric Bogren. In the 29th minute Sune Erserman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Torsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes Jespers IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ted Bergsten who took care of the corner kick. Anders Torsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Näver, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Axel Näver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börje Höijer kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Hökerum's Axel Näver sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anders Torsberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 38 minutes into the game, Nils Lindberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nils Lindberg hit a great ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Axel Näver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hökerum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Näver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Jespers IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Erserman came free, but Anders Torsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Göran Lundström made the kick off in the second half. If Göran Lundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Axel Näver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Torsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
