Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Krister Pihl took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Jonas Bergqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aston Villa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Bergqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Blomberg got free with Esbjörn Hjortsberg in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Aston Villa FC's zone, Krister Pihl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esbjörn Hjortsberg came out of the goal and Krister Pihl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esbjörn Hjortsberg made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Felix Blomberg sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Allarp-Hemsle Alliansen booed when Aston Villa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conny Tolsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Krister Pihl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esbjörn Hjortsberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Aston Villa FC's Peter Blom got a free kick in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Krister Pihl came free, but Esbjörn Hjortsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kent Godholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conny Tolsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Allarp-Hemsle Alliansen got a freekick which was hit by Sigvard Rolfsson. When Lukas Lindgren fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Allarp-Hemsle Alliansen's protests and gave Lukas Lindgren a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Allarp-Hemsle Alliansen got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Lindgren. After recieving a nice pass, Aston Villa FC's Matthias Trulsson tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Conny Tolsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Kent Godholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Krister Pihl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Allarp-Hemsle Alliansen's supporters rose to their feet, but Krister Pihl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esbjörn Hjortsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paul Ekerot took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kent Godholm. Kent Godholm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paul Ekerot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jonas Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Ekerot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Godholm having to interfere. Esbjörn Hjortsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krister Pihl, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Krister Pihl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Blomberg came free, but Esbjörn Hjortsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Conny Tolsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Felix Blomberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Aston Villa FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Peter Blom hit a great ball. Krister Pihl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes, Sigvard Rolfsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Allarp-Hemsle Alliansen and the Aston Villa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Allarp-Hemsle Alliansen's Kent Godholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Ekerot in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to Allarp-Hemsle Alliansen getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Lukas Lindgren hit a great ball. Jonas Bergqvist in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kent Godholm, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Krister Pihl took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esbjörn Hjortsberg. Esbjörn Hjortsberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Krister Pihl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Aston Villa FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aston Villa FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
