After a defensive mix-up in Mariestad FK's zone, Isaac Brandin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Benett came out of the goal and Isaac Brandin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Isaac Brandin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mariestad FK's Rune Benett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rune Benett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börge Nordstedt in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Mariestad FK's goal looked a bit too open when Börge Nordstedt came free, but Rune Benett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven Bergström kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Isaac Brandin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Benett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils-Åke Dusett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingmar Hård read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Ransäter IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Brandin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariestad FK's Rune Benett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börge Nordstedt in the 40th minute of play. When Peter Dalgren came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Mariestad FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Dalgren couldn't finish the play. Ingmar Hård took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Nyqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Mariestad FK's Peter Dalgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingmar Hård narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
