Spectators: 7386 (Terracing: 5541, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 147) Hökerum's Axel Näver started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Axel Näver kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Esbjörn Hjortsberg. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. In the 16th minute, Axel Näver fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 19 minutes into the match, Hökerum's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Bergqvist came free, but Niklas Asserlind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esbjörn Hjortsberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Näver's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Ragnar Aronsson took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esbjörn Hjortsberg. Esbjörn Hjortsberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 29 minutes into the match, Sune Erserman notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Aston Villa FC's Esbjörn Hjortsberg. Esbjörn Hjortsberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Axel Näver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Axel Näver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esbjörn Hjortsberg was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Hökerum's zone, Paul Ekerot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Asserlind came out of the goal and Paul Ekerot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paul Ekerot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Asserlind having to interfere. Jonas Bergqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

54 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny Strömberg came free, but Esbjörn Hjortsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 played minutes Aston Villa FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Blom. 59 minutes into the match, Sune Erserman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esbjörn Hjortsberg. Aston Villa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sune Erserman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Axel Näver recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Aston Villa FC booed when Hökerum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Alströmmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matthias Trulsson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Aston Villa FC's Edwin Giliusson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Niklas Asserlind but with some difficulty. If Axel Näver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sune Erserman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Esbjörn Hjortsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Näver, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Axel Näver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esbjörn Hjortsberg having to interfere. Sune Erserman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esbjörn Hjortsberg having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Aston Villa FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hökerum.
