A hard shot by Ture Holm from long distance, 21 minutes into the match, got Kristoffer Boberg's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Bergendahl in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bo-Erik Vinström saved Newton Heath from getting behind. After 23 minutes, Hugo Bergendahl made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Newton Heath's Bo-Erik Vinström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Newton Heath:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rolfstorp BK:s goal. Bo-Erik Vinström came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Rolfstorp BK's Henrik Sandberg. But to his dismay, Henrik Sandberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arvin Ahlqvist got free with Kristoffer Boberg in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the game, Arvin Ahlqvist lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Kristoffer Boberg. Kristoffer Boberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Ingemarsson in the 40th minute of play. Kjell Ingemarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristoffer Boberg having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kjell Ingemarsson made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Newton Heath got a freekick which was hit by Esbjörn Wahlström. Hugo Bergendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Newton Heath's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Jan-Olof Bredberg scored to the left of an out of position Bo-Erik Vinström, making the score, 1-3. Jan-Olof Bredberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bo-Erik Vinström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Rolfstorp BK fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Rolfstorp BK's Hugo Bergendahl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Kjell Ingemarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jan-Olof Bredberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristoffer Boberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvin Ahlqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Newton Heath. Joar Tinglöv stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kristoffer Boberg. 2-4. When Rolfstorp BK's Jan-Olof Bredberg in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newton Heath's goalie prevented a goal.
