In the 5th minute, Marko Sundberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bosses Bolltrollare BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ola Kruse in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bo-Erik Vinström saved Newton Heath from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arvin Ahlqvist got free with Stig Holmberg in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marko Sundberg hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Kenneth Unesson kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Jens-Ola Kruse came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Bosses Bolltrollare BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Ola Kruse couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Bosses Bolltrollare BK's Jens-Ola Kruse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bo-Erik Vinström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arvin Ahlqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 played minutes, Newton Heath's Joar Tinglöv shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stig Holmberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Newton Heath reached it. Bo-Erik Vinström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Sundberg in the 39th minute of play. Jens-Ola Kruse took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bo-Erik Vinström. Bo-Erik Vinström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Bosses Bolltrollare BK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kjell Ingemarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Kjell Ingemarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newton Heath's supporters rose to their feet, but Kjell Ingemarsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig Holmberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute Kjell Ingemarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Joacim Mattsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvin Ahlqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bo-Erik Vinström had great luck who in the 82ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Marko Sundberg from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marko Sundberg in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bo-Erik Vinström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 0-3 became the score in the 89th minute when Marko Sundberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Jens-Ola Kruse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bosses Bolltrollare BK played a much better game than Newton Heath and deserved their victory. The Newton Heath players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
