Gilbert Adelsköld ran back to his position shaking his head. Sakarias Granström's late challenge caught a Östra Frölunda FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sakarias Granström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, De EfterBlivna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakarias Granström to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Gilbert Adelsköld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Östra Frölunda FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilbert Adelsköld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Markusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emil Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutger Blomquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. De EfterBlivna's Jens-Ola Nyström got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jens-Ola Nyström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Jakobsson having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, De EfterBlivna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingemar Larsson to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rutger Blomquist to make the kick off. Jens-Ola Nyström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emil Jakobsson having to make a save. Emil Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rutger Blomquist in the 58th minute of play. Rutger Blomquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Johan Beckström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Markusson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malcolm Westerstrand during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to De EfterBlivna getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Malcolm Westerstrand hit a great ball. 2-0 became the score in the 70th minute when Rutger Blomquist elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Johan Beckström in the 75th minute of play forced De EfterBlivna's goalkeeper Carl Markusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sture Albom, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Karl-Johan Beckström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Markusson having to interfere. In the 91st minute of the match, Karl-Johan Beckström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carl Markusson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 94th match minute, De EfterBlivna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingemar Larsson to maneuver through the defense. Gilbert Adelsköld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Östra Frölunda FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
