The supporters of De EfterBlivna booed when Newton Heath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaj Odeen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Newton Heath's zone, Jens-Ola Nyström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Arenius came out of the goal and Jens-Ola Nyström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl Arenius acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 11th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Niklas Fredriksson. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Rutger Blomquist took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Karl Arenius to make any attempt to save it. Karl Arenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rutger Blomquist in the 16th minute of play. De EfterBlivna's Rutger Blomquist was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Rutger Blomquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 played minutes Newton Heath got a freekick which was hit by Inge Lund. Newton Heath's Karl Arenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rutger Blomquist in the 32nd minute of play. Rutger Blomquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Staffan Öfverman hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, De EfterBlivna's Karl Arenius threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rutger Blomquist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Rutger Blomquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. De EfterBlivna's supporters rose to their feet, but Rutger Blomquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Arenius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Newton Heath's zone, Rutger Blomquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Arenius came out of the goal and Rutger Blomquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jens-Ola Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Inge Lund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jens-Ola Nyström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inge Lund hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Newton Heath's Karl Arenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rutger Blomquist in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute Rutger Blomquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Arenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Fredriksson in the 60th minute of play forced Newton Heath's goalkeeper Karl Arenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When De EfterBlivna's Rutger Blomquist in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newton Heath's goalie prevented a goal. After 67 minutes, Jens-Ola Nyström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De EfterBlivna and the Newton Heath players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rutger Blomquist took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl Arenius. Karl Arenius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Jens-Ola Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th match minute, Newton Heath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Brolin to maneuver through the defense. Karl Arenius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rutger Blomquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Newton Heath's zone, Jens-Ola Nyström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Arenius came out of the goal and Jens-Ola Nyström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgar Isaksson scored 4-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Arenius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Inge Lund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Newton Heath's Allan Brolin got a free kick in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. De EfterBlivna fully deserved thier win.
