The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan-Erik Koch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Nilsson having to interfere. Kalvsvik's Håkan Britz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Melin in the 6th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kalvsvik's zone, Stefan Melin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Håkan Britz came out of the goal and Stefan Melin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute of the game, Jan-Erik Koch landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 10th match minute, IFK Fotskäl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Haeger to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th match minute, IFK Fotskäl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dick Johansson to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Bengt-Rune Groth from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Egil Nilsson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 13 minutes into the match, IFK Fotskäl's goalkeeper Egil Nilsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Näfver. In the 15th minute, Stefan Melin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Egil Nilsson made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Karl Näfver sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute Boris Engman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Britz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalvsvik's Håkan Britz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Melin in the 24th minute of play. Stefan Melin scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Håkan Britz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Håkan Britz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Melin in the 42nd minute of the match. Boris Engman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Britz having to interfere. Håkan Britz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Engman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Näfver to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl Näfver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Emil Vennerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Näfver in the 62nd minute of play forced IFK Fotskäl's goalkeeper Egil Nilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stefan Melin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. IFK Fotskäl's Egil Nilsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Näfver in the 78th minute of play. Stefan Melin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Håkan Britz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Eric Sjöberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kalvsvik and the IFK Fotskäl players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eric Sjöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Håkan Britz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stefan Melin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 82 minute of play. Dick Johansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Håkan Britz made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Kalvsvik:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of IFK Fotskäl:s goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. IFK Fotskäl had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
