Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johan Alberg in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rutger Strömberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Johan Alberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glimåkra IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Johan Alberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rutger Strömberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Månsson in the 11th minute of play forced Smedby's goalkeeper Rutger Strömberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rutger Strömberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Månsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rutger Strömberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Månsson in the 23rd minute of play. Rutger Strömberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Smedby players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Glimåkra IF were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin Månsson made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Månsson got free with Rutger Strömberg in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johan Alberg in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rutger Strömberg saved Smedby from getting behind. Rutger Strömberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Alberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Morgan Fagrell during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The long shot by Markus Skarkman in the 60th minute really tested Rutger Strömberg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 63 minutes into the game, Johan Alberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rutger Strömberg. Johan Alberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Benjamin Månsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rutger Strömberg having to interfere. Rutger Strömberg made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Benjamin Månsson sent off a good shot on target. Johan Alberg took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rutger Strömberg. Rutger Strömberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The audience was convinced that Johan Alberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rutger Strömberg was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 78th minute Johan Alberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rutger Strömberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rutger Strömberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Alberg in the 80th minute of play. If Benjamin Månsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Glimåkra IF's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Karlstedt came free, but Kjell-Arne Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dick Wiman hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Smedby fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Glimåkra IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
