But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Rune Torstensson couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute, Ola Albäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Ove Fanström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Lekberg having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, Gustavsfors IFK's Karl-Ove Heggert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathias Lekberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Gustavsfors IFK booed when FC Qoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Wållander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Dan Stålberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gustavsfors IFK's Bertil Melin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Gustavsfors IFK booed when FC Qoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmie Bocklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Dan Stålberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bertil Melin was a little too slow when Morgan Gunnarsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-0. Mathias Lekberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Ove Heggert's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl-Ove Heggert was the one to do the kick off. Sven-Ove Fanström in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mathias Lekberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Heggert in the 69th minute of play forced FC Qoz's goalkeeper Mathias Lekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Morgan Gunnarsson's late challenge caught a Gustavsfors IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
