After 72 minutes of play, FC STARS's Carl Söderström made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Öberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fred Öberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Brännö IFK's zone, Carl Söderström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Öberg came out of the goal and Carl Söderström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, FC STARS's Carl Söderström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fred Öberg. Fred Öberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. When Rudolf Kellbom came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Brännö IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudolf Kellbom couldn't finish the play. If Per-Åke Örtendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudolf Kellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Vidar Högberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC STARS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
