Håkan Åkerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rune Lindberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, FK Crvena Zvezda's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Söderberg came free, but Rune Lindberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anton Isaksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Sonny Österlund managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when FK Crvena Zvezda's Roland Botvidsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Håkan Åkerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes FK Crvena Zvezda got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Ström. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Crvena Zvezda's goalkeeper Rune Lindberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rune Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Isaksson in the 24th minute of play. If Leonardo Göransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FK Crvena Zvezda's Rune Lindberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Åkerberg in the 29th minute of play. Anton Isaksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Lindberg having to interfere. When Lyrestad's Håkan Åkerberg in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FK Crvena Zvezda's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37th match minute, FK Crvena Zvezda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikael Linberg to maneuver through the defense. Rune Lindberg came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Lyrestad's Håkan Åkerberg. But to his dismay, Håkan Åkerberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Anton Isaksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Åkerberg in the 46th minute of play forced FK Crvena Zvezda's goalkeeper Rune Lindberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Isaksson to make the kick off. With his leg Rune Lindberg managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Lyrestad's Håkan Åkerberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Håkan Åkerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rune Lindberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute, Håkan Åkerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Lyrestad booed when FK Crvena Zvezda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Ström didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lyrestad's Håkan Åkerberg, in the 75th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Lyrestad. Håkan Åkerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Anton Isaksson notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FK Crvena Zvezda's Rune Lindberg. Rune Lindberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in FK Crvena Zvezda's zone, Anton Isaksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Lindberg came out of the goal and Anton Isaksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vincent Ström hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A collision led to FK Crvena Zvezda getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Vincent Ström hit a great ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Crvena Zvezda's goalkeeper Rune Lindberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Håkan Åkerberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Rune Lindberg however easily saved by the left post. Lyrestad's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
