Spectators: 6684 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 0) Stig Hellsing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Svensson's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sysslebäck IK's zone, Benjamin Svensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stig Hellsing came out of the goal and Benjamin Svensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Benjamin Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Hellsing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Svensson in the 19th minute of play forced Sysslebäck IK's goalkeeper Stig Hellsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Benjamin Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Hellsing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sysslebäck IK's Freddie Bergström got a free kick in the 27th minute. Benjamin Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Stig Hellsing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Sysslebäck IK got a freekick which was hit by Roger Arenstedt. Stig Hellsing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Svensson in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Roger Arenstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute of the match Sala IF got a corner. Sysslebäck IK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonard Öfverman ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Tomas Söderberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, Sala IF's Benjamin Svensson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stig Hellsing was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Sala IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaj Blixt was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Edvin Tholsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sysslebäck IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvin Tholsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 55 played minutes, Sysslebäck IK's Bengt-Rune Holmgren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benjamin Hellström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sysslebäck IK reached it. Benjamin Svensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Hellsing having to interfere. If Kaj Blixt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Hellsing made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Söderberg in the 69th minute. Benjamin Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Stig Hellsing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sysslebäck IK's goalkeeper Stig Hellsing, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Roger Arenstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Svensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stig Hellsing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Svensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Benjamin Svensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sala IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Svensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig Hellsing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamin Svensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Hellsing having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Kaj Blixt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sysslebäck IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaj Blixt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Benjamin Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Svensson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stig Hellsing having to make a save. Kaj Blixt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Hellström having to interfere. When the match was over Sala IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sysslebäck IK throughout the match.
