Emil Grönberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Hellström in the 7th minute of play. Erik Myhr came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Per-Åke Mogren could save by the left post. Leonardo Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Grönberg having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Erik Myhr cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Per-Åke Mogren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Varnhem's Leonardo Hellström got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Emil Grönberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Frisck in the 24th minute of the match. Erik Myhr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Per-Åke Mogren made a huge save. In the 34thth minute of the game Johannes Wenerdahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Täby's Emil Grönberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Leonardo Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Täby's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Wenerdahl came free, but Emil Grönberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leonardo Hellström came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Varnhem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Hellström couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Johannes Wenerdahl made a precise shot to the right of Emil Grönberg. Täby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 48th minute, Johannes Wenerdahl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emil Grönberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Täby players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Varnhem were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolf Björling made a kick off. Johannes Wenerdahl received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emil Grönberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Johannes Wenerdahl slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Täby's Emil Grönberg got control of the ball when Leonardo Hellström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isak Henriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 71 minutes Täby's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stig Jönsson who took care of the corner kick. Varnhem's Stig Jönsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emil Grönberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Erik Myhr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Täby's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Myhr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Åke Mogren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Varnhem's Johannes Wenerdahl got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolf Björling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Åke Mogren having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Emil Grönberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 89 minutes into the match, Varnhem's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Myhr came free, but Per-Åke Mogren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Grönberg having to interfere. 99 minutes into the game, Johannes Wenerdahl recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emil Grönberg. Johannes Wenerdahl showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Varnhem's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
