Ove Abrahamsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Börje Norberg made a huge save. Börje Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt Holmberg in the 6th minute of play. Svärdsjö RK's Börje Norberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Svärdsjö RK from getting a goal against them. If Per-Åke Stenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Will Griggs On Fire's Pål Kilberg got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Svärdsjö RK's Oliver Österberg got a free kick in the 16th minute. Svärdsjö RK's Börje Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Åke Skräddare in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Will Griggs On Fire's zone, Kurt Jonasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jack Åberg came out of the goal and Kurt Jonasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ove Abrahamsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kurt Jonasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Svärdsjö RK's Mikael Jakobsson got a free kick in the 39th minute. Will Griggs On Fire's Bengt Holmberg suffered a sore thigh after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 48 minutes, Jesper Odeen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Svärdsjö RK and the Will Griggs On Fire players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Svärdsjö RK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Will Griggs On Fire:s goal. Nils-Åke Skräddare walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Jonasson was the one to do the kick off. Per-Åke Stenberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Jack Åberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Jonasson in the 61st minute of play forced Will Griggs On Fire's goalkeeper Jack Åberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikael Jakobsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jack Åberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikael Jakobsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute, Mikael Jakobsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ove Abrahamsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Börje Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Svärdsjö RK got a freekick which was hit by Pär Rolandsson. In the 75th minute Ove Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Will Griggs On Fire getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Birger Ambjörnsson hit a great ball. Pär Rolandsson's late challenge caught a Will Griggs On Fire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pär Rolandsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Svärdsjö RK got a freekick which was hit by Pär Rolandsson. Per-Åke Stenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Åberg having to interfere. Per-Åke Stenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 99th minute, Per-Åke Stenberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Svärdsjö RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
