Bäckefors BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hammarby IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bäckefors BF's Rikard Modig got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Rikard Modig made the kick off in the second half. Aaron Holmgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rikard Bäcklin hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Karl-Michael Näver took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ulrik Bålström. Bäckefors BF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ola Alberg struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ulrik Bålström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hammarby IF. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erling Sävström in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulrik Bålström saved Bäckefors BF from getting behind. Ulrik Bålström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Alebeck in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bäckefors BF's Rikard Modig got a free kick in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Bäckefors BF's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Sävström came free, but Ulrik Bålström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Bäckefors BF's goalkeeper Ulrik Bålström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ola Alberg. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bäckefors BF's goalkeeper Ulrik Bålström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Erling Sävström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulrik Bålström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hammarby IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
