An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Wiklund in the 7th minute of play forced Åkarp FK's goalkeeper Benjamin Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes in the game, Joel Pihl fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lennart Spets having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfred Alebeck got free with Lennart Spets in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Lennart Spets managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Åkarp FK's Hannes Ahlén fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sven-Olof Målare's late challenge caught a Åkarp FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Olof Målare helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes Red Flame Club got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Målare. When Aron Wiklund came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Red Flame Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Wiklund couldn't finish the play. Joel Pihl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Spets having to interfere. Lennart Spets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Ahlén in the 27th minute of play. Lennart Spets didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magnus Trillkott went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Hannes Ahlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute of the match, Hannes Ahlén tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lennart Spets saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Joel Pihl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aron Wiklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Hellkvist having to interfere. Lennart Spets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hannes Ahlén in the 44th minute of the match. Joel Pihl's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Lennart Spets skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

With a little luck, Åkarp FK's Benjamin Hellkvist got control of the ball when David Bogren tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hannes Ahlén in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lennart Spets saved Red Flame Club from getting behind. Johan Samuelsson hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Joel Pihl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute Hannes Ahlén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Spets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Hannes Ahlén put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lennart Spets. If Hannes Ahlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Pihl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Spets having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Hannes Ahlén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Hannes Ahlén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åkarp FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hannes Ahlén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Hannes Ahlén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lennart Spets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Pihl in the 97th minute of the match. Åkarp FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
