Erik Magnusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Wester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Karlstedt having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Stora Höga BK's Christian Strömberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tom Hammarbäck. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Christian Strömberg took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Hammarbäck. Tom Hammarbäck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Roger Karlstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Wester in the 28th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Malmberget's Marc Ström got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Samuel Caspersson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tom Hammarbäck skillfully saved the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Einar Göransson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stora Höga BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malmberget the free kick. Einar Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Christian Strömberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Tom Hammarbäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes in the game, Christian Strömberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tom Hammarbäck having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Valter Hedling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malmberget's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stora Höga BK the free kick. A collision led to Malmberget getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Valter Hedling hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Christian Strömberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stora Höga BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Strömberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Hammarbäck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Strömberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Malmberget's zone, Christian Strömberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Hammarbäck came out of the goal and Christian Strömberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Hammarbäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Strömberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Stora Höga BK's Erik Magnusson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom Hammarbäck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Wester got free with Roger Karlstedt in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Axel Wester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Einar Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Karl-Michael Örtendal, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Jens-Ola Berglund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roger Karlstedt, 2-1. Roger Karlstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Hedling, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Erik Magnusson might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom Hammarbäck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Magnusson ran back to his position shaking his head. Christian Strömberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Hammarbäck having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Christian Strömberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Hammarbäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Strömberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Hammarbäck having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Malmberget players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stora Höga BK.
