Birger Sandwall really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Sverker Sjöström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger Sandwall in the 25th minute of play. With his leg Sverker Sjöström managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Fågelfors's Christer Linqvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Roger Ålberg charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Ålberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Birger Sandwall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Esbjörn Lövkvist's late challenge caught a Fågelfors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esbjörn Lövkvist helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fågelfors booed when Sparsörs AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esbjörn Lövkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birger Sandwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Sjöström having to interfere. When Christer Linqvist came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Fågelfors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christer Linqvist couldn't finish the play. Sverker Sjöström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Linqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Åke Ahlroht managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sparsörs AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Ahlroht was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fågelfors's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
