Pål Sandwall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivar Wall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Bo-Erik Lind made a huge save. 28 minutes into the match, Södra Vi BF's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Kellbom came free, but Börje Vennerlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dennis Kellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petter Vollander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börje Vennerlund having to interfere. Ivar Wall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Bo-Erik Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bo-Erik Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Sandwall in the 44th minute of the match. Henrik Lööf was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 45th match minute, Åshöjden BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Lööf to maneuver through the defense. Pål Sandwall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bo-Erik Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pål Sandwall to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl Ekeroth's late challenge caught a Åshöjden BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petter Vollander got free with Börje Vennerlund in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Åshöjden BK's Bengt Bäckström got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petter Vollander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Ivar Wall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 69 minutes, Bengt Bäckström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åshöjden BK and the Södra Vi BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bengt Bäckström hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Wall in the 70th minute of play forced Åshöjden BK's goalkeeper Bo-Erik Lind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Petter Vollander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th play minute Petter Vollander came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Börje Vennerlund. 2-1. Bengt Bäckström hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After having played for 82 minutes, Ivar Wall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Södra Vi BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivar Wall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pål Sandwall in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bo-Erik Lind saved Åshöjden BK from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Södra Vi BF's Ivar Wall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bo-Erik Lind narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emanuel Molin's late challenge caught a Åshöjden BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Molin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Emanuel Molin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
