Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sebastian Axelsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Verner Molin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granö IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Verner Molin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gunnar Barck fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Granö IFK's protests and gave Gunnar Barck a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Granö IFK got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Barck. Aruba IF's Jan-Erik Helander was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 6th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Alfons Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Verner Molin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Aruba IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Granö IFK:s goal. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Granö IFK. Konrad Forsberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Torsten Lindgren. 1-1. Karl-Magnus Myhr kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Verner Molin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torsten Lindgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Näver in the 22nd minute of play forced Aruba IF's goalkeeper Torsten Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aruba IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Walter Månsson in the 25th minute. Jan-Erik Helander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Elof Bergendahl made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Aruba IF's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Näver came free, but Torsten Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Erik Helander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Elof Bergendahl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Alfons Näver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torsten Lindgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Sebastian Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfons Näver made a kick off. With his leg Torsten Lindgren managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Granö IFK's Verner Molin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alfons Näver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Torsten Lindgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Alfons Näver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granö IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfons Näver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan-Erik Helander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Aruba IF's Torsten Lindgren got control of the ball when Gunnar Barck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfons Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute of the match, Alfons Näver tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Torsten Lindgren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Helander in the 78th minute of play forced Granö IFK's goalkeeper Elof Bergendahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Aruba IF's Jan-Erik Helander in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Granö IFK's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Aruba IF booed when Granö IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aruba IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Erik Helander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elof Bergendahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Erik Helander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Verner Molin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Granö IFK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aruba IF throughout the match.
