Bengt Sandberg made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Alex Stolpe sent off a good shot on target. Orvar Nordkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arman Jonasson was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Stolpe in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Bengt Sandberg came out of the goal and Urban Västberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 74 played minutes Saltsjöbaden FK got a freekick which was hit by Orvar Nordkvist. After a defensive mix-up in Saltsjöbaden FK's zone, Urban Västberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Sandberg came out of the goal and Urban Västberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Alex Stolpe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Höljes IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Stolpe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute Urban Västberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Sandberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Höljes IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Urban Västberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urban Västberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bengt Sandberg having to make a save. Höljes IFK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
