Spectators: 7309 (Terracing: 5483, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Malcolm Juhlin got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Oxelösund booed when Skyttorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Ekegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Tommy Jönsätt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Emander was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Skyttorp's Frans Hellbom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Staffan Tingelholm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Staffan Tingelholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Juhlin in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Skyttorp's zone, Peter Bållström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Emander came out of the goal and Peter Bållström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan Emander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Bållström in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Malcolm Juhlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute Malcolm Juhlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Tingelholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Frans Hellbom made a precise shot to the right of Staffan Tingelholm. Oxelösund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Skyttorp's Jan Emander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Bållström in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tommy Jönsätt to make the kick off. When Malcolm Juhlin came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Skyttorp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malcolm Juhlin couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Skyttorp getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Dennis Soned hit a great ball. Oliver Gullesson didn't quite understand what happened when in the 60 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Tommy Jönsätt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Emander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. When Per-Åke Magnusson fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skyttorp's protests and gave Per-Åke Magnusson a yellow card for diving instead. Oxelösund's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 73rd minute of the game, when Mattias Billock after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Skyttorp's goal. Mattias Billock was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. With an all-out effort, Oxelösund's Jan Emander threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tommy Jönsätt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jan Emander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Bållström in the 77th minute. Frans Hellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staffan Tingelholm having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Malcolm Juhlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skyttorp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Malcolm Juhlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oxelösund's Peter Bållström got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
