But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svenåge Esløv couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Ockelbo IF defense, Svenåge Esløv kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ingmar Holmgren. The Ockelbo IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ingmar Holmgren should have stopped the shot. Ragnar Lövgren made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Adam Ström sent off a good shot on target. Ingmar Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bennvar Pinkman in the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Harry Kjellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ragnar Lövgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Svenåge Esløv came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Ljungsbro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svenåge Esløv couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ockelbo IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! After 41 played minutes Ljungsbro got a freekick which was hit by Bennvar Pinkman. Adam Ström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ragnar Lövgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The Ljungsbro fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Ljungsbro's Svenåge Esløv looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 48 minutes into the game, Svenåge Esløv cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ingmar Holmgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harry Kjellbom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ockelbo IF getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Wictor Häger hit a great ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Svenåge Esløv managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ljungsbro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svenåge Esløv was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ragnar Lövgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Kjellbom in the 59th minute of play. Harry Kjellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Svenåge Esløv's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Ingmar Holmgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Svenåge Esløv might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ingmar Holmgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Svenåge Esløv struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ingmar Holmgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ljungsbro. 84 minutes into the match, Ljungsbro's Svenåge Esløv sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingmar Holmgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ingmar Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svenåge Esløv in the 87th minute of the match. Ingmar Holmgren was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Svenåge Esløv capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Svenåge Esløv really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. A hard shot by Ben White from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Ingmar Holmgren's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Svenåge Esløv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
