When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Ulf Alfors took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Viktor Lundin to make any attempt to save it. Sven-Erik Utfal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustaf Lenberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute of the match Esbjörn Blomberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustaf Lenberg skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Lidingö IFK booed when Jönåker BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Alfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Jönåker BK's Tim Ödman got a free kick in the 18th minute. Bernt Lundkvist, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gustaf Lenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Deckberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Tor Fristedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henning Bruse's late challenge caught a Jönåker BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henning Bruse helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lidingö IFK getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Henning Bruse hit a great ball. Sture Göransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Jönåker BK defense, Dan Deckberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustaf Lenberg. The Jönåker BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustaf Lenberg should have stopped the shot. Ulf Alfors's late challenge caught a Lidingö IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Lidingö IFK were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Jönåker BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernt Lundkvist took the corner. Bernt Lundkvist made a great header on Lidingö IFK's corner, it was just that Jönåker BK's Gustaf Lenberg managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Lidingö IFK getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ludvig Bålström hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Fristedt in the 62nd minute of play forced Lidingö IFK's goalkeeper Viktor Lundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Jönåker BK booed when Lidingö IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernt Lundkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Gert Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jönåker BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Nilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven-Erik Utfal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Gustaf Lenberg made a huge save. 72 minutes into the match, Lidingö IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Tor Fristedt came free, but Viktor Lundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Lidingö IFK got a freekick which was hit by Kent Finsberg. Viktor Lundin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sture Göransson went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Sven-Erik Utfal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Dan Deckberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Lenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Erik Utfal struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Gustaf Lenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lidingö IFK. Jönåker BK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
