The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Björn Thorsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Tom Zachrisson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Zachrisson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaf Ivarsson in the 8th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Björn Thorsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyrestad's supporters rose to their feet, but Björn Thorsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Zachrisson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Holmberg in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Birger Classon saved Lyrestad from getting behind. Björn Thorsberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tom Zachrisson could save by the left post. When Kurt Persson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Råkurr FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Persson couldn't finish the play. Tom Zachrisson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Ivarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Lars Holmberg struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Birger Classon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Råkurr FF. 30 minutes into the match, Lyrestad's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Holmberg came free, but Birger Classon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Lars Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Råkurr FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Holmberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birger Classon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lars Holmberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Birger Classon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Sven Caspersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Råkurr FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Caspersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birger Classon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Birger Classon came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Råkurr FF's Sven Caspersson. But to his dismay, Sven Caspersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustaf Ivarsson to make the kick off. A collision led to Lyrestad getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Robert Vibjörnsson hit a great ball. Lyrestad's Gustaf Ivarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jack Söderberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Classon having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Holmberg got free with Birger Classon in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Råkurr FF's zone, Gustaf Ivarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Zachrisson came out of the goal and Gustaf Ivarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Inge Wennerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jack Söderberg during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Thorsberg in the 80th minute of play forced Råkurr FF's goalkeeper Tom Zachrisson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Sven Caspersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sven Caspersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 97 minutes, Lars Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Råkurr FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Holmberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Lyrestad fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Råkurr FF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
