Hasslö's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hammarby IF the free kick. After 51 played minutes Hasslö got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Göransson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Linberg in the 60th minute of play forced Hasslö's goalkeeper Bertil Rosen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Joakim Åkesson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Torbjörn Svensson.
