Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stellan Nyström got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ås's goalkeeper Bo Sjögren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bo Sjögren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joakim Åkesson in the 9th minute of play. Birger Ferm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Hasslö's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Vedholm came free, but Bertil Rosen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Sören Fransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingemar Lövskog missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 16 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Bertil Rosen right hand side. In the 18th minute, Birger Ferm made a precise shot to the right of Bertil Rosen. Hasslö's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Ås's Lars-Erik Vedholm ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bertil Rosen. Bertil Rosen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Egon Kielstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egon Kielstedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Hasslö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Kielstedt to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Hasslö's Niklas Valström got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd minute of the match Ingemar Lövskog sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bertil Rosen skillfully saved the ball. After 35 played minutes Ås got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Hägglund. In the 36th minute, Sören Fransson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ås's Bo Sjögren didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Åkesson in the 39th minute of play forced Ås's goalkeeper Bo Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stellan Nyström came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Hasslö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stellan Nyström couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars-Erik Vedholm made a kick off. David Igelström charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Hasslö's Stellan Nyström in the 88th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Bo Sjögren was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Ås through an amazing save. Joakim Åkesson struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Bo Sjögren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hasslö. Birger Ferm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ås were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hasslö for a fine match.
