Jan Eliasson scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Holger Ålberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Holger Ålberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vincent Hedvall's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Holger Ålberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Hedvall in the 10th minute of the match. Holger Ålberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Widberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilgot Alebom kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Holmön IF's Vincent Hedvall got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Mikael Widberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes, Jonny Odman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Västerljung and the Holmön IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Västerljung getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jonny Odman hit a great ball. Holger Ålberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Hedvall, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Jan Eliasson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Eliasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jan Eliasson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, one of Västerljung:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Västerljung. Västerljung's Holger Ålberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Widberg in the 41st minute of play. Vincent Hedvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Holger Ålberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Västerljung players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Holmön IF were winning 0-3.

When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Vincent Hedvall sped through Västerljung's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Holger Ålberg. Mikael Widberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holger Ålberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikael Widberg ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the match, Västerljung's goalkeeper Holger Ålberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikael Widberg. In the 62nd minute Vincent Hedvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Ålberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esbjörn Frisck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dag Thidén in the 63rd minute of play. Vincent Hedvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Dag Thidén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Västerljung fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. A collision led to Holmön IF getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Vilgot Alebom hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilgot Alebom during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes Holmön IF got a freekick which was hit by Vilgot Alebom. Esbjörn Frisck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Thidén, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When Mikael Widberg came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Holmön IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Widberg couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Holmön IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
