Bertil Hult took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agne Kling. Agne Kling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Lundqvist in the 6th minute of play forced Forsheda's goalkeeper Agne Kling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Jörn Giliusson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jörn Giliussons short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Bengt Lang to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 21 minutes into the match, Sågmyra IF's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Kihlman came free, but Bengt Lang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddie Fernkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eddie Fernkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, Eddie Fernkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agne Kling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Widberg in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Forsheda's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Hult came free, but Agne Kling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Sågmyra IF's goalkeeper Bengt Lang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörn Giliusson. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefan Lundqvist to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Jörn Giliusson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forsheda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Bengt Lang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Kihlman in the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to Sågmyra IF getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Filip Widberg hit a great ball. If Jörn Giliusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sågmyra IF's Bengt Lang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Giliusson in the 68th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Jörn Giliusson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bengt Lang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Kihlman, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Forsheda's Jörn Giliusson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengt Lang narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Filip Widberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agne Kling having to interfere. Roy Kihlman kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Forsheda's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Lundqvist came free, but Agne Kling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niklas Blanck's late challenge caught a Sågmyra IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niklas Blanck helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd match minute, Forsheda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niklas Blanck to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
