Kasper Vallin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fritz Vesterberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. When Björn Strandberg fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lundagård's protests and gave Björn Strandberg a yellow card for diving instead. Jonas Esbjörnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Billingsfors's Christian Lundkvist broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kasper Vallin in the 23rd minute of play forced Billingsfors's goalkeeper Fritz Vesterberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Aspengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Vesterberg having to interfere. If Bengt-Arne Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mats Möllgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Lindholm in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Kasper Vallin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fritz Vesterberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Bengt-Arne Samuelsson came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Lundagård fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Arne Samuelsson couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kasper Vallin was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute of the match Lundagård got a corner. Billingsfors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ingvar Vidman ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Kasper Vallin managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jonas Esbjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fritz Vesterberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Åke Viklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Bengt-Åke Viklund came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Billingsfors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Åke Viklund couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Lundagård's zone, Kent Lindholm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mats Möllgren came out of the goal and Kent Lindholm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bengt-Arne Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fritz Vesterberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasper Vallin in the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Wiktor Nyberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lundagård's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiktor Nyberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lundagård's Kasper Vallin got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Billingsfors getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Carl Bröms hit a great ball. Kasper Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Vesterberg having to interfere. If Wiktor Nyberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lundagård played a much better game than Billingsfors and deserved their victory. The Billingsfors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
