Sture Hellström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute Jon Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Björklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes of play, Staffanstorps GIF's Sture Hellström made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Greger Hultman was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mattias Ahlstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mattias Ahlstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when William Tingberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers William Tingberg in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Greger Hultman saved Haninge from getting behind.
