In the 55th match minute, Stockans FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Sandberg to maneuver through the defense. Bo Holmgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Bo Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borås FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo Holmgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig Biörkquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Bo Holmgren fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borås FK's protests and gave Bo Holmgren a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Borås FK getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Bo Holmgren hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Stockans FC's Rune Allbom tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Borås FK's Vilgot Fernström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Britz in the 95th minute of play. Borås FK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Stockans FC had won, even though Borås FK had held more of the ball.
