The supporters of Montrose United booed when Farsta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Axel Åhman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tom Dahlberg, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Axel Åhman made a kick off. Börje Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Hägglund having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Montrose United had played much better football throughout.
