Torsten Stenman charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torsten Stenman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Torsten Stenman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mårten Bogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Sander having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walter Sander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Stocksund United's goal looked a bit too open when Mårten Bogren came free, but Walter Sander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kennet Sandell came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Bygdeå IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kennet Sandell couldn't finish the play. If Kennet Sandell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mårten Bogren in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walter Sander saved Stocksund United from getting behind. When Anders Pil fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bygdeå IF's protests and gave Anders Pil a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bygdeå IF getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Anders Pil hit a great ball. Frank Tunberg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Kennet Sandell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Sander having to make a save. Walter Sander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mårten Bogren, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mårten Bogren made a kick off. Stocksund United's Walter Sander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mårten Bogren in the 59th minute of play. Walter Sander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mårten Bogren, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mårten Bogren in the 64th minute of play forced Stocksund United's goalkeeper Walter Sander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Stenman was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 65th match minute, Stocksund United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Stenman to maneuver through the defense. When Svante Kullander came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Stocksund United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svante Kullander couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the game, Tage Hamnberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bygdeå IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stocksund United the free kick. Tage Hamnberg hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Adam Thidén didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Tunberg went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Sandell in the 91st minute of play forced Stocksund United's goalkeeper Walter Sander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Mårten Bogren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walter Sander. Stocksund United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mårten Bogren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. There was no doubt that Bygdeå IF were the better team. Bygdeå IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
