Verner Boström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Gummeson in the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 33 minutes, Karl Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anneberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Blom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Krokom FK's Timmy Burman got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When George Termander came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Krokom FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Termander couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tony Gummeson to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Krokom FK's goalkeeper Verner Boström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Blom. Morgan Bennet's late challenge caught a Krokom FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
