Båtskärsnäs's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Forsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magnus Sillén breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sågmyra's Magnus Sillén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Forsberg in the 37th minute of play. Magnus Sillén came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Båtskärsnäs's Lennart Engman. But to his dismay, Lennart Engman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 44th minute, Hugo Forsberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magnus Sillén was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Magnus Sillén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Kjellbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Göran Torsberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sågmyra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Sågmyra's Rikard Lindström got a free kick in the 71st minute. Magnus Sillén didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 76th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. In the 78th match minute, Båtskärsnäs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Arne Hägglund to maneuver through the defense. Göran Torsberg struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Sten Enegren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sågmyra. In the 86thth minute of the game Göran Torsberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Båtskärsnäs's Sten Enegren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Göran Torsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Enegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erland Alefors, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Lennart Engman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Båtskärsnäs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennart Engman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Båtskärsnäs could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sågmyra throughout the match.
