Spectators: 7277 (Terracing: 5460, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Björndammens BK's Olov Ahlqvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute, Kim Biörkman fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gilbert Strömqvist, passed just outside the right post. In the 14th minute, Kim Biörkman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Björndammens BK's Peter Sundberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Sefastsson in the 17th minute of play. Gilbert Strömqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Billing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Konga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kim Biörkman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kim Biörkman struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Gilbert Strömqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Björndammens BK. Olov Ahlqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gilbert Strömqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Olov Ahlqvist came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Björndammens BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olov Ahlqvist couldn't finish the play. 1-0 became the score in the 41st minute when Kim Biörkman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Åkerström made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Konga's zone, Kim Biörkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Strömqvist came out of the goal and Kim Biörkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilbert Strömqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Ahlqvist in the 65th minute of play. Kim Biörkman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Strömqvist having to interfere. Edwin Sefastsson scored 1-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peter Sundberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edwin Sefastsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Sundberg having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Björndammens BK's goalkeeper Peter Sundberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Sefastsson. Konga's Edwin Sefastsson got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Sundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Åkerström, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd match minute, Björndammens BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pelle Söderqwist to maneuver through the defense. Olov Ahlqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Strömqvist having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Björndammens BK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
