Svante Smitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Gunnarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jim Browald charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jim Browald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Säve BF getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jim Browald hit a great ball. Jonathan Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vacker in the 37th minute of the match. Jonathan Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vacker in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Gösta Tinglöf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Säve BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Tinglöf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Edward Vacker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edward Vacker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Forsberg having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Gösta Tinglöf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johannes Hjortsberg was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Säve BF's goalkeeper Svante Smitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaj Gunnarsson. Svante Smitt was a little too slow when Thomas Siöman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-2. Jonathan Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Björklund in the 61st minute of play forced Säve BF's goalkeeper Svante Smitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Svante Smitt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Håkan Björklund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 63 minute of play. In the 65th minute, Kaj Gunnarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Säve BF's Svante Smitt got control of the ball when Kaj Gunnarsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Hassela's Håkan Björklund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Svante Smitt. That made the score 1-4 after 69 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gösta Tinglöf in the 77th minute of play forced Hassela's goalkeeper Jonathan Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Vacker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jonathan Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Gösta Tinglöf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Säve BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gösta Tinglöf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Forsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 82 minutes, Gösta Tinglöf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edward Vacker might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Forsberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vacker ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd minute Gösta Tinglöf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vacker in the 84th minute of play forced Hassela's goalkeeper Jonathan Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gösta Tinglöf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Forsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Tinglöf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Hassela's zone, Edward Vacker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Forsberg came out of the goal and Edward Vacker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gösta Tinglöf scored 2-4 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Forsberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hassela were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Säve BF's much stronger midfield.
