The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ove Vester during the 2nd minute. The supporters of Rosenfors BF booed when Broby FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isak Nyqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Olov Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Rosenfors BF's Elias Holm seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elias Holm the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rosenfors BF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elias Holm had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 14th match minute, Rosenfors BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Holm to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Peter Käller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klas Hedman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Vester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Klas Hedman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Vester, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ove Vester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Klas Hedman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Vester in the 27th minute of the match. Klas Hedman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Vester in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Broby FF's Peter Käller made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Klas Hedman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Klas Hedman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Finman in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute Bengt-Arne Wallmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Beckström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Isaac Siggesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Olov Engström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rosenfors BF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Bengt-Arne Wallmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Broby FF defense, Jörgen Hellgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonard Beckström. The Broby FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonard Beckström should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ove Vester to strike the kick off in the second half. When Olov Engström came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Rosenfors BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olov Engström couldn't finish the play. Jörgen Hellgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
