Ulf Olenberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan-Erik Damm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulf Olenberg ran back to his position shaking his head. After 10 minutes, Sten Målare made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. IF Talangfabriken's Jan-Erik Damm tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sten Mattsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvar Täman in the 16th minute. Bengt Carlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Mattsson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lövet IF's zone, Bengt Carlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Mattsson came out of the goal and Bengt Carlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan-Erik Damm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Målare in the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Bengt Carlberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sten Mattsson. Bengt Carlberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Målare in the 40th minute of play forced IF Talangfabriken's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Damm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ulf Olenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 46 played minutes Lövet IF got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Olenberg. 48 minutes into the match, Lövet IF's Ulf Olenberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Erik Damm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Jan-Erik Damm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Målare, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, IF Talangfabriken's Bengt Carlberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sten Mattsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ulf Olenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Sten Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvar Täman in the 76th minute of play. Henrik Allbom struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Sten Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IF Talangfabriken. In the 94th minute, Ulf Olenberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jan-Erik Damm. The goal made the score 2-3. Lövet IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
