In the 15th minute Sigvard Brolin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Viklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Skyttorp IF got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Thidén. Sigvard Brolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ingvar Bern's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Berggren was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After 39 minutes, Bengt Klintæus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malgomaj and the Skyttorp IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Skyttorp IF booed when Malgomaj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Klintæus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Skyttorp IF's Ingvar Bern sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Berggren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ingvar Bern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skyttorp IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Bern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Berggren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Berggren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Bern in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Kurt Kihlman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Georg Viklund made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sigvard Brolin got free with Georg Viklund in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 60 minutes, Adrian Thidén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skyttorp IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Thidén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Berggren came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Skyttorp IF's John Nyman. But to his dismay, John Nyman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. John Nyman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Berggren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Bern, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Ingvar Bern came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Skyttorp IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingvar Bern couldn't finish the play. John Nyman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes of play, Skyttorp IF's Ingvar Bern made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Berggren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommy Berggren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Nyman in the 90th minute of the match. Sigvard Brolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Nyman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Skyttorp IF were the better team. Skyttorp IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
