Edwin Palmkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Valter Beneth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virserum's Valter Beneth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Virserum from getting a goal against them. Fredric Rosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Olle Öfverman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredric Rosen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edwin Palmkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonny Olsson during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Björklinge got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Olsson. Olle Öfverman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agne Blomkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christoffer Ljungberg during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Björklinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoffer Ljungberg to maneuver through the defense. Richard Fagerberg didn't quite understand what happened when in the 37 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agne Blomkvist in the 46th minute of play forced Björklinge's goalkeeper Olle Öfverman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin Palmkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredric Rosen made a kick off. A collision led to Björklinge getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jens-Åke Bammerman hit a great ball. Virserum's Valter Beneth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Palmkvist in the 53rd minute of play. Björklinge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Virserum the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Björklinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Åke Bammerman to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Björklinge fans cheered their team off the field, for while Virserum had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
